Dr. Marvin J. Fritzler, is the founder of MitogenDx and has served as its Director for over 40 years. Dr. Fritzler is also Professor Emeritus at the University of Calgary, Cumming School of Medicine. Receiving his PhD in Cell Biology at the University of Calgary in 1971, after his MD in 1974 Dr. Fritzler continued with postdoctoral research in Autoimmunity at the Scripps Clinic and Research Institute in La Jolla, CA and at the University of Colorado in Denver. His areas of expertise include autoimmune diseases, cell and molecular biology of autoantigens, laboratory diagnostics, and policy and strategy for innovation. Under Dr. Fritzler’s leadership and driven by his passion for precision health, MitogenDx has gained international recognition and provides diagnostic services worldwide.
Dr. May Choi is the Associate Director of MitogenDx, bringing extensive expertise in autoimmune diseases and innovative diagnostics. She completed her MD at the University of Alberta and training in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at the University of Calgary. Dr. Choi holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Harvard University and completed a clinical and research lupus fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Her areas of expertise include systemic lupus erythematosus, biomarker discovery, precision medicine, and the application of artificial intelligence in laboratory diagnostics. Dr. Choi’s leadership at MitogenDx supports the company’s mission to deliver advanced autoimmune diagnostic services on local, national, and international scales.
