CLINICAL ASSOCIATIONS

Mitogen’s Cytoplasmic Dot Profile is an exclusive autoimmune diagnostic test that is used to confirm antibodies to targets represented by the HEp-2 IFA pattern reported as cytoplasmic discrete dots (AC-18). This panel detects autoantibodies against the antigen proteins that make up GW bodies (miRNA processing bodies) and early endosomes (EEA-1). Patients (>70%) with antibodies to GWB and EEA1 have a variety of autoimmune conditions that include idiopathic ataxia, primary biliary cholangitis and Sjögren syndrome.
